5 out of 5 stars Very informative , interesting and readable   August 8, 2007
This book has so much information in it covering points of interest along the roadside, explaining thermal features, trails, facilities, mileages and some really good maps covering each area. Plus, sections on recommended walks, travel tips, a summary of the history of Yellowstone and useful addresses and phone numbers. It is an excellent book and is a book I will treasure.

5 out of 5 stars A MUST read   June 4, 2007
This is an excellent, well written, guide that all visitors to Yellowstone should buy; read it and you won't miss any of the major or minor sites.

5 out of 5 stars A great companion to go on holiday with!   August 12, 2002

From planning a visit, to travelling through the park, this book offers up the gems of Yellowstone for your pleasure. Great tips on the best things to see, the changing nature of the thermal features and eruption intervals. Bison and elk appear exactly where the author suggests (will check out the moose and bears on my next visit)!

The book is very user friendly, with separate sections on each stretch of road within the park, as well as the major routes into the park. The authors discriptions and accuaracy inspired us to want to see that much more.

I think that this book is a must for anyone planning to visit Yellowstone National Park.
