A guide to Garden Wildlife July 2, 2002 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Garden Wildlife is the ideal book for those, like me, who have a bigish garden with plenty of birds, insects and animals and want to know more about them all. Each animal has a brief entry and a well taken, clear photo, so identification is clear and easy. The chapter at the start on garden wildlife in general could have been longer and if I have one more quibbly to make it would be that the enteries for each animal are very factual, some old wives tales or folklore would have been most welcome. Overall though a real treat, perfect for those who don't want to be blinded by science, just the right size to fit into a pocket while out and about and an ideal introduction to the animals I and my three year old son see every day but know little about.
