 The No.1 Eco -Warrior tells it like it is. September 30, 2008
Paul Watson was brought up on the East Coast of Canada in a fishing village. He is a great story-teller and does not hold back on uncovering the mass-slaughter of thousands of baby (6 week old) harp seals each season in the ice-floes.
He was instrumental in shutting down the seal 'fishery' for 10 years and now battles to have it stopped again.
This is not a 'nice' book - it is a 'necessary' book and anybody interested in fishing, seals, ocean travel or conservation will be handed a graphic and much needed lesson in how so many can be so ignorant and how so few can make a difference.
For another example of Captain Watson's great story-telling, the much sought-after 'Ocean Warrior' is a must.
