Excellent November 17, 2008 Couldn't ask for a better book and condition of the book was also excellent! Very detailed explanation regarding all accounting concepts!!
Great tool for Financial Statement Analysis June 9, 2008 This book is a great tool for Financial Statement Analysis and Accounting Courses. A bit repetitive at times but it certainly drives home the accounting and finance concepts. Two thumbs up!
a great introduction for accounting September 21, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For people who don't know any thing about accounting (like me) this the book for you. it starts with the basic concept then explane the more diffecult one in the rest of the book. eventhough I didn't study all the book however what I have taken was great
Not worth the money! August 8, 2007 I hate this book. Why? There is no way to check your answers to all of the problems. If they would have simply put the answers to every other problem in the back of the book, like most books do you could self educate yourself. There is alot of excellent information in the book and a lot of "try it" yourself type problems, but there is no way to check to see if you understood the concepts. This is not a book you could pick up and do the problems, and determine if you even got the answers right. If they would have gave me a way to check to see if I got the problems right, then I would have gave it a 4. I think there is some CD somewhere that has the answers but I couldn't find it. It didn't come with the book. Perhaps it comes with a new book. I bought it used.
Great Book May 6, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is the best introductory accounting book I've ever seen. I've been fortunate to attend the university where the authors teach, and have studied accounting under both Stice and Swain. The book is very clear, without the instructor's explanation (and the instructors are funny as heck and absolutely know the material) and I recommend it to anyone.
