Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
This volume is a comprehensive and practical reference on all current applications of ultrasound. Featuring more than 2,400 illustrations, including full-color scans, the book covers ultrasound of all anatomic regions, as well as obstetric, gynecologic, and pediatric ultrasound, Doppler, endoscopic ultrasound, ultrasound-guided invasive procedures, intraoperative ultrasound, three-dimensional ultrasound, and newer adaptations of ultrasound. The authors approach each anatomic area as a sonographer encounters it in practice, and guide the reader systematically through the examination, differential diagnosis, and diagnosis. Each chapter follows a logical structure: normal ultrasound anatomy, sonographic pitfalls, and sonographic abnormalities. The text methodically explains how to distinguish among different sonographic abnormalities. Boxed tables present gamuts of possible diagnoses and lists of differential diagnostic points, and flow diagrams demonstrate key steps in the diagnostic decision-making process.

The best single volume diagnostic Ultrasound textbook available.

It is a 1998 book so probably time for a new edition.....but really how much has changed? The core info is still the same.

I recommend it for residents/registrars,and also for consultants wanting an approachable comprehensive text.

It is very well written and illustrated.
