Product Description What does a little bear wear while he romps through a bright and sunny day? In the morning, his pants that dance, and the sun on his legs that run. At lunchtime, celery crunch and sprouts in a bunch, and juice from a pear and rice in his hair. And at night, his pjs with feet and face on the seat, and sleep in his eyes and stars in the skies, as he dreams of the fun he'll have tomorrow. In lilting verse and exuberant paintings, the first of Nancy White Carlstrom's and Bruce Degen's celebrated Jesse Bear books creates a special day not only for Jesse Bear, but for young children everywhere.

somewhat disappointed November 18, 2008 book is in good condition. delivery was rapid. price was fair. seller neglected, however, to mention that this issue is a very small book and not standard size. That issue proved to be rather disappointing.
Jesse Bear, What Will You Wear? October 30, 2007 Children love the "sing Songy" Rhymes. Illustrations are adorable. A must have for every childs collection.
Play on words not appreciated! June 19, 2007 0 out of 8 found this review helpful
Darling book, love the sing-songy quality about the verses, BUT, there's a typo, and after emailing the publisher, I learned that it's an intentional "play on words". It's "Jesse Bear", not "Jesse Bare" (as appears on the bathtub page). Okay, it's a little funny that it's on that page where presumably Jesse Bear is a bare bear, but is it too much to ask that our children's books be gramatically correct? I'm not sure why the editors think they can (or should!) try to pull this off! This "play on words" adds nothing to the story, but it sure does add confusion for early readers, not to mention frustration for parents who, like me, would like to instill proper grammar/word usage! I prefer to buy books that have actually been edited! There are plenty of other great books! (I don't object to the fun with words, but is it too much to ask that it be gramatically correct? If it's a play on words you're after, check out the Amelia Bedelia books. The author does a lovely job of playing with words/meanings but in a grammatically correct fashion!)

This book was smaller than the original I had several years ago. Kind of pricey, too. Great book -- that's why I wanted another copy.
Excellent book! May 31, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the perfect toddler book. I got it from the library for a homeschool lesson, and my daughter loved it so much I'm going to buy our own copy. The images are colorful and soft, with lots to look at. The story (or poetry) is very simple and short. I like how, even though the story centers around baby Jesse and his mom, the dad is involved also. The story is very warm, with obvious affection shown for Jesse by his parents.
