Jasmine Martin- A "Who Done It" book. November 18, 2000 The book "Marie- Mystery at the Paris Ballet" is about true friendship. Marie has always wanted to dance with the famous Paris Opera. Her dreams come true but Maria spends so much time at the opera and with her American friend Prudence that her friendship between her best friend Joelle is torn apart. It's not much better at the opera house. She is the youngest dancer and is teased daily by the older ballerinas. When a terrible crime happens, Marie is the one blamed. Will she find the culprit or be kicked out of the Paris Opera?
Really cool! June 15, 1999 Mystery At the Paris Ballet was just as good as the first Marie book! I liked it!
It is a very good book, I think you need to make more books November 25, 1998 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
At last Marie has realized her dream of dancing with the famed paris opera, but life at the ballet is not all she imagined it would be. the other dancers in the corps de ballet, jealous of her talent, tease her about her youth and inexperience. her long hours of practice leave her little time for her best friend, joelle. Her wealthypatron,Countess du lac, gives her lavish gifts, but it is difficult for marie to accept the Countesses extravagance while people struggle to provide for their families and poor children beg for food in the streets of paris.
Not as good as the first. February 15, 1998 This book was not as good as the first Marie book. It was ok, though, nothing really great however. I reccomend the first one more.
