An exciting and educational book November 15, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book reflects and describes the extensive experience and many adventures Mike Lapinski has had in the Rocky Mountains. There are exciting stories about predators from the great Grizzly and the fearsome mountain lion to the little ermine. There is a wealth of information about these animals. This is an extraordinary combination of an adventure and a reference book. In addition there is much wise counsel about safety and defense for campers and hikers in the country of these predators. Mike is a seasoned and thoughtful observer of the relationship, the balance, and interdependance between predator and prey.
