This book really helped!! March 31, 2008 If you are a young widow/er this book is a must!! It has been helpful to know that I am not alone... a real comfort. I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who is doubting their feelings in a time of grief.
Just what I needed February 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is a very good read. The format gives a history, then the personal reflections of two individuals who have walked through the loss of a spouse. My husband is a widower and I bought it to understand what he couldn't tell me. Highly recommend due to the perspective of the authors who love God. The chapters can be read out of sequence. I went to the last chapter first to see what the Other Side looked like and realized we weren't there yet!
Getting to the Other Side of Grief November 4, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I recommend this book for anyone who has had someone die. It helped me with my own grief process when my spouse died. I still needed to do the grief work after 2 1/2 years and this book helped me understand more fully and helped me not feel alone.
Getting to the other side of Grief, Overcoming the loss of a spouse. October 23, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I lost my husband the end of Feb/07. I found this book on a website www.griefshare.org It has been both helpful, calming, and wonderfully written. It has answered many of my questions. I give this book 5 stars and will be refering back to it again......I highly recommend.
If you are a DEVOUT Christian then this is for you...If not... December 27, 2006 5 out of 9 found this review helpful
...then you need to look elsewhere. I ordered this book for my mother and eventually returned it. It piles on the religion thick and heavy. If you are a devout (read: VERY RELIGIOUS) person, this is the book for you. If you are simply spiritual or just not terribly religious, this book borders on being offensive. There are a lot of other terrifically helpful books available for newly widowed spouses that don't push the religion aspect as heavily as this one does.
