A fine educational as well as entertaining picturebook October 8, 2006
Written by Heidi Bess Roemer (an advisor for the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators) and illustrated by Olena Kassian, What Kinds Of Seeds Are These is a rhyming picturebook that presents the stories of nine different types of seeds in question-and-answer format. The colorful and jubilant illustrations help convey a sense of appreciation for the world's natural wonders, and the final two pages encourage young readers to grow their own seeds for fun. A fine educational as well as entertaining picturebook.
