Product Description An ancient secret society. The Vatican. The lost tomb of Jesus--the King of Kings And an ancient scroll that unlocks the secret of the Goddess . CODIS-the FBI's Combined DNA Index System-has found a match. A link between the past and present. Between a royal bloodline and the world's foremost terrorist. On the anniversary of their downfall at the hands of the papacy, the Knights Templar vow revenge. The ultimate spies and the ultimate threat: Reunited lovers brought together by fate, Italian-born OSI agent Nick Rossi and beautiful Mossad agent, Josie Schulman, battle an al-Qaeda orchestrated wave of terrorist attacks directed against Rome, the Vatican, and the newly elected Pope. But the investigation means plunging into Rossi's own past and into the arms of Bast, the alluring stranger, who may be his downfall. The ultimate secret: Beneath the Dome of the Rock, in Solomon's Temple, an ancient scroll is found. It unlocks the Holy See's brutally suppressed truth concerning the divine feminine, Mary Magdalene's true identify and role-and the location of history's most important tomb. The ultimate deception: As world leaders converge on Rome for the Pope's funeral, Rossi and Josie race against time and follow a cryptic trail of symbols hidden within German Renaissance paintings: the keys to a mystery that points to a secret Masonic nexus of power, the secrets of the Widow's Son. What would you do for love? What would you do for honor and country? Two strong-willed women find themselves at opposing sides of a struggle for power. Josie a Mossad agent, who is battle weary and disillusioned, and the other-Bast a notorious al-Qaeda operative. But they share three things in common: they seek revenge for the murder of family members, and they both seek love and meaning in their lonesome existence. The third thing they share is the affection of the same man. The man is Nick Rossi intelligence operative stationed in Rome. Rossi seeks the advice of his uncle Professor Giovanni, a man versed in history and the schemes of secret societies. Together they must solve a riddle, clues left by a Masonic Nexus that has infiltrated the Vatican. Rossi knows that his uncle's and even the Pope's life depends upon his actions. And time is running out. Behind the veil of enigma lies the Eschatology Institute, a New Age pop culture Church, complete with Hollywood celebrity spokespersons, secret oaths, and dark agendas. Its leader is on a mad power trip and will kill anyone who stands in his way. And his sights are set on the Vatican.

Masterful Tale of Mystery! October 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
R Douglas Weber's intriguing tale Soloman's Key is akin to such smash novels as DaVinci Code with a twist of Tom Clancy military style.
Soloman's Key includes history, myth, and current military and terrorist issues, all finely woven together to create a story that is 100% believable. Controversial Muslim and Jewish traditions are presented to the reader right from the start. Such names as bin Laden are used in connection with terrorist activities. Weber pulls the reader in immediately and does not let go until the end.
R Douglas Weber's experience as a Special Agent shine through in the form of a firm grasp on the inner workings of the military and events in the middle east.
From prologue to end the story takes the reader on a journey that is not to be missed!

Great plot here's a video about it September 12, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1BVQMBA12CAU6 Here's a video trailer tht sums up the plot very well. Four stars because this book delivered what it promised, insight into the secret workings of Freemasonry's rituals and some astonishing facts about Masonry's relationship to Scientology. I'd never heard of the OTO, Ordo Templi Orientis, before. I'd heard that L. Ron Hubbard was into some strange things, but not this. Sex Magic! The book doesn't mention him by name, but instead has a cult called the Eschatology Institute, which closely resembles Hubbard's cult.
The characters' interactions and the espionage plot zip the story along, but I liked the hidden details about Durer's engravings. Yes, a lot of artists in this time period used so-called magic and Hermetic symbolism in their works, and some hard-nosed art historians fail to acknowledge the importance of this belief system in their work; but that doesn't negate how the symbolism is there for everyone to see once they open their eyes.
Professor Giovanni was my favorite character, eccentric and a good mentor for the hero, agent Rossi. I agree that there's a lot of violence and some of the scenes are pretty racy, but I got the overall message that the Goddess lies within all women, waiting to be realized.
My best friend who read it with me didn't like the portrayal of some of the women as so sexy, but she did admit that they were portrayed as real people with real motivations. I reminded her of the sexually demented Assassin that Dan Brown had abduct the heroine in Angels and Demons with the hint of sexual assault. All spy thrillers since Ian Fleming's James Bond books have these sexy femme fatale stereotypes.
These religious conspiracy thrillers have to have those elements of violence, sadistic cruelty, and sexual innuendo in order to satisfy thriller fans. The irony is that my best friend's favorite pastime is watching all those women in jeopardy thrillers on the Lifetime cable channel, plus she loves the Vampire Romance novels. Although I'm still having a hard time wrapping my mind around why so many women love this fantasy world of women being chased by maniacal killers or sexy vampires. Anyway, the point is it's fiction, and I'm not afraid to admit I like the tingle of danger mixed with adventure and peril for women.
Another fictional conspiracy thriller The Shell Game
Found this Video Book Trailer for Solomon's Key September 4, 2008 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3SOFNR9A2LZ4O I found this video book trailer on Youtube and reposted it here, because it gives a nice visual summary of the plot. Spies galore: a Mossad agent against goes up against an al-Qaeda agent. But the kicker is the terrorist attacks have been secretly orchestrated by a Masonic conspiracy and a Scientology-like New Age cult.
Filled with lots of controversial Church and religious history, it raises some interesting questions, but it's mainly an action spy thriller. Fast read. SOLOMON'S KEY THE CODIS PROJECT: A CONSPIRACY THRILLER (Solomon's Key)
frustrating book September 4, 2008 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
I'm not quite finished this book, and I swore that if I did, I'd be able to join the people giving it 5 stars. But I realized while reading it last night that will never happen so decided to write my review and be done. In one word, this book is extremely frustrating. I love this genre of books, but this one is by far the worst written one of the batch. There are way too many characters, none of which are developed enough to give you a buy in with any of them. And to make matters worse, sometimes in the same paragraph, the author calls them different names, in effect, doubling the names you have to try and keep sorted out. Tripling the frustration is the fact that several of his characters seem to lead double lives, or suffer from multiple personality disorder. There is way too much going on in the storyline to the point where, just like the characters, there is no development of plot for you to buy into. Typos and grammatical errors abound. Codes to this point in the book have made no sense, and I'm a puzzle and code freak. The author will give the answers, but there is no way for the reader to figure out how the code led to the answer. And the big sell code - the one for you to look for throughout the book, is so lame as to be laughable.
I WILL finish the book (if it kills me) because I'm not one to give up part way through. But it will be a tough slog, even with few pages to go. This book does not entice me at all to investigate any other books by this author.
Should a miracle happen and everything in the last few pages sort itself out, I will write a retraction below this review. But I think not. Alas.
Dan Brown wannabe August 25, 2008 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
I waited quite a while for the price of this book to come down, but it didn't. Not being able talk myself into waiting longer, I bought it at the given rate expecting a real thriller read. I was greatly disappointed. I read only part of the first chapter and put the book in my retreads, those books not worth reading. Poor sentence structure, quite juvinile in fact and no depth to the plot. Don't waste your money like I did.
