Product Description
It is crazy that Dean and I broke up. Things were going great between us. I mean, he tells me he loves me one minute, then the next minute he breaks up with me. My mom thinks I should wallow and stuff my face with junk food, but I'm not so sure that's the answer. And let's face it, when it comes to relationships, my mom doesn't always show the best judgment, especially if my dad's involved. What I really need to do is stay focused and keep busy. After all, I have Harvard to think about, so why waste time crying over a boy? Right?

I love Gilmore Girls October 13, 2008 Gilmore Girls is one of the best shows ever, and the fact that a few episodes were put into books makes me happy. I haven't had time to read them yet because I have been studying but I can't wait to read them. The preview was word for word the episode!
identical to the show March 16, 2008 I love the gilmore girls, and due to the rave reviews (unfortunately the last person to also negatively review the book hadnt done it when i purchased it) thought i would love it. i am only thankful i didnt buy all 4 books at once, or even more than just this one... it is identical to the episodes, with the exception that it is only from rory's point of view, so you miss out on all of the stuff that happened that the episodes show, but rory doesnt see (her mom and chris kissing on the balcony, the baby chick being lost in her house when she isnt there, etc).. it was not worth the $2 i paid for the book, or the time i spent reading the book... very disappointed... i was hoping for some extra details, things like how rory got into the donna reed costume or how she and dean's breakup actually went down... but no luck!
Gilmore Girls Script March 11, 2007 If you enjoy the show, you will enjoy the books. No collection is complete without them.
What's the point? February 1, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I was an English Major in college. I'm a huge advocate of literacy in general, and anything that gets people (especially kids/teens) to read. But this mockery of a book is entirely, well... stupid. It is word for word and action for action the dialog and movements from the show.
There is no hidden depths here. It's written first person point of view of Rory, and frankly, Rory wouldn't write this boringly.
Television (and movies) as a springboard for novels is a great idea. Unfortunately, at the moment I can only think of sci-fi examples such as Star Wars, Star Trek, Firefly, and Dark Angel. But I'm sure there are others. These novel series are in addition to the show. They are not direct episodes transcribed from the show. They offer deeper character analysis and unexplored avenues of adventure.
If you're that interested in the subject, try getting your hands on a shooting script for Gilmore Girls episodes. At least they're a more interactive read.

In this Gilmore Girls book Rory and Dean break up. I would love to tell you why but then I would be giving away a major part of the stroy. But i can tell you this....they get back together in the end. Lorelai wants Rory to wallow beacuse that's what every girl should do after their first break up. But Rory is not every girl. Rory then decides to go to a Chilton party and something very interesting happends. Find out what happens in this wonderfully funny Gilmore Girl novel.I Hope You Enjoy It!
