For a very simple, fun and informative picturebook introduction to bears for children grades 1-2, choose Lisa Magloff's Watch Me Grow Bear, a basic primer for early readers. 24 pages packed with color photos present a first-person text from the 'bear's viewpoint' along with growth cycle details.
