Product Description Children stroke kittens soft fur, feel its rough tongue, and touch its smooth, plastic feeding bowl. The lively Feels Real board books for toddlers are filled with vivid color photos of friendly animals that children love to pet. But Feels Real Books are more than ordinary picture books. Each of them has a different texture patch on every one of its two-page spreadssurfaces for very young boys and girls to touch. Different textures allow kids to experience the touch of animals fur or skin. When little hands have opportunity to touch and feel, the animals in these books suddenly come to life.

A whole lot of kitty cuteness for a few dollars! July 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a charming little board book from Barron's that toddler's will absolutely adore. What could be more fun than touching a kitty's soft fur, his rough tongue (think your cat will sit still for that one?) and three other items in this simple, colorful book with very, very cute photos.
It's a cute little book, and perhaps it will keep junior away from actually chasing the cat when he wants to check out the texture of his fur.
There's never enough books for curious toddlers, and this one is a good value for very little money.
Photos outshine touch and feel aspect June 24, 2008 The photography of the kittens is very appealing; they are really sweet. I bought it as a "touch and feel" book, however, to appease a young grandchild whose cat doesn't want to be handled. There are 5 items to be touched in the book, only 2 of which I consider worthwhile, those being kitty's furry chest and its rough tongue. The others are a slick dish, a toy mouse and a soft cushion. "Slick dish" in a kitten touch & feel? Come on -- where's the new fun and training in that? Nevertheless, the book is worth purchasing; kitty's tongue and furry coat are well done, the photography is good and the price is cheap. I won't give it 5 stars because I'm disgusted about the dish, cushion and mouse (better to have put in another furry kitty chest or its tail or a foot pad), but my one year old grandchild thinks it's an OK book and seems to enjoy it.
