Mr. Wiggles at the library January 10, 2008 I purchased both books together right when they came off the press! They are excellent! Carol Thompson is a great author and captivates the subject for the students to learn about the library and care for the books. Patti
Great for library media specialists, however... September 20, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've used this book for the past 4 years with my K and 1st graders. It is very useful for teaching at the beginning of the year about bookcare. My "however" refers to the binding. Pages started to fall out my 2nd year using this book. That was after aproximately 10 readings. I am now on my second tape job, after another 10 readings or so. I was hoping that I'd find this library bound at this point, but it doesn't look that I way. I'll have to check into one of the re-binding companies (Turtleback, Permabound, etc) for it, I guess.
Mr. Wiggle's By Paula Craig September 8, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is a must have for every elementary and Children's library. Tells about taking care of the books children check out of the library. And the kids love listening to the story and talking about how to take good care of books.
Great Library Resource August 31, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Mr. Wiggle's book is a great way to introduce and review correct care of library books. The illustrations are bright and colorful and the language is easily understood by small children. The kids in my library loved it!
Library lessons on care of books February 18, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is excellent. In the past I have collected damaged books to show students what not to do with books. The illustrations of tears, fingerprints, scribbles, etc. are very real looking. This is great to use when teaching the early grades how not to treat books.
