Product Description Learn about and identify birds using Stan Tekiela's state-by-state field guides. The full-page, color photos are incomparable and include insets of winter plumage, color morphs and more. Plus, with the easy-to-use format, you don't need to know a bird's name or classification in order to easily find it in the book. Using this field guide is a real pleasure. It's a great way for anyone to learn about the birds in your state.

Great Book June 2, 2008 I love this book because it is small and easy to use. My kids kept asking me what kind of bird was that? Some I did not know and instead of having to look through the big North American Bird Book this was so much easier. The neat thing is that the bird's are in order by color so even the kids can use it by themselves.
Awesome!! May 20, 2008 Bought this after borrowing another from the library. We LOVE this book! The photos are fabulous and arranged by the bird's primary color making it possible for my 5-yr old to look up birds he sees in the yard. It's compact enough to fit in a coat pocket too. You can't go wrong with this reference.
Birders Unite! March 25, 2008 I am an Airfield Manager at Youngstown Air Reserve Station. I have to post Migration patterns of all the birds that come through this area and the greater northeast section of Ohio and Northwest Section of Pennsylvania. Not being a native of Ohio, this book Birds of Ohio as been an outstanding guide not only for our migratory friends but to learn about the local aviary community. Get this book!
A nice pocket guide May 26, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have the one with the Audio CD as well which works well and sounds a lot better than some other audio books (and sounds a lot better than those cute stuff birds you can buy). It narrows down the bird choices and makes a fine guide for beginners. Not something to write a report on since it is short information but enough to get you started if looking for more.
Great fun December 1, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have had this book for 2 years and I am always looking in it every time I see a different bird in my yard. We have woods behind our home so I am always seeing something new! This book tells it all.
