great book! October 4, 2008 this is a great book to give as a gift to a new mom. i wish i had this book when my first child was born!
Not What I Expected September 29, 2008 This book is not what I expected it to be. It's full of suggestions for what to do when your baby is asleep. This is a bit laughable to me. One of them suggested trying on all of your shoes, deciding which ones 'no longer fit your lifestyle,' and giving them away. I think this could cause depression as one at least wants to think that there is a future for those high heels again at some point. I expected more educational and age-appropriate suggestions for stimulation of my child, and there are some of those. But it spoke to a different demographic I think; perhaps it's right for the isolated, suburban or country-living stay home mom who feels lonely at home and has lots of time to kill. But for me, life is so busy just taking care of the basics. I wanted a book to give me ideas for creating fun for my child and this just wasn't the right thing for me. I returned it.
Great gift for new moms September 18, 2008 I love to give this book to all my new mom friends. I feel like this book is written by real moms for real moms. I LOVE IT!!

Must have for any mom! July 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I LOVE this book, I wish I had it when my first child was born. It is filled with creative and humorous ideas for enjoying the precious time you have with your baby, including tips on how to include your partner and other moms. It gave me inspiration and motivation to get out of the house and take my little ones with me! It does seem to be geared for stay-at-home moms, however, as a mom who works outside of the home, the activities can also be done in the evenings or on weekends.
