From the supplier: Student demography has changed a lot since the 1940s such that it is imperative for the physical education (PE) curricula to incorporate systems that would consider students' cultural backgrounds and varying tastes. PE teachers must not assume students' familiarity with traditional activities as some of them may have different life experiences from the mainstream students. To motivate a diverse group of students, teachers should provide them with opportunities to choose their own sports. This could be done by offering longer periods of instruction to the students' chosen sports.
