Product Description
Very seldom does one hear about a viable plan to transform the planet and to address all its problems. Co-op Villages: The Next Evolution offers such a plan, a plan that could change everything. The authors trace the challenges we face to the legacy of the everyone-for-themselves paradigm that has ruled this planet unquestioned for thousands of years. But what if we instead choose to have this planet work fore very one and for all life on the planet? The heart of this book lays out that vision. The basic building block that is needed is how we live together and relate together in Community, and the authors meticulously describe how that would look in a Highest Good for all model. Envision a world that enjoys the latest technology, yet respects the natural resources of the planet and keeps them intact. Imagine living in a diverse, sustainable Community where everyone is well cared for, with all their needs being met. This is not a utopian fantasy. This IS the next evolution-literally a blueprint for transforming our world through realistic and practical solutions to the present-day political, environmental, economic, and social problems of the entire planet. This book details how a village could house 500 persons on 500 acres to live sustainably forever, while providing all food, utilities, medical coverage, transportation, advanced education and jobs for its residents for life. This is one of the most thoroughly researched and well-considered approaches to creating sustainable communities that I've yet seen, and I've been studying and actively participating in community building for 25 years. The plan laid out in this book is a framework, a suggestion, an outline from which to begin. And from there, the members of each co-op village can fine-tune as they go along, to best meet their needs and the needs of changing times.

This is the best book I ever read that pierces through what is happening in our present society and explains all of the sacrifices we have to make to survive that place so much physical, mental, emotional and financial stress on ourselves and our families that is breaking down our relationships, our health and our wellbeing! If we are to survive as a society and save our sanity, this book has the solution. It offers a
new community paradigm that addresses these problems: the Co-Op Village. This is a must read for those who are hungry for something new and are seeking something innovative and alternative to the present paradigm that will become a model for future generations. Mark R. (Orlando, Fl)
