| Customer Reviews:
Not...quite what you might think. September 9, 2008 I have complained for years about a lack of a mathematics for chemists book. This looked like just what I was looking for. I first saw it advertised by a chemical company. When I got it, however, I found it to be either too shallow, or too specific. It spent a great deal of time discussing things like accuracy versus precision and the like. Then suddenly it switches to calculating concentrations of urea. Instead of being an overall guide to the mathematics of a laboratory, it was instead a guide to calculating values as a professor in an undergraduate biological analysis lab. Really not how it presents itself. That said, it's okay for what it is. But rather than attempt to use labs as specific examples of fundamental concepts and use those for widely varying applications, it instead explains the math found in a few typical experiments, and that's all.

Laboratory Math September 28, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is an excellent reference book for Laboratory Mathmatics. It provides the formulas needed and easy-to-understand explainations. I would recommend it for a beginning student or a student like myself who is taking continuing education.
