From the supplier: A study was conducted to examine professional development schools (PDS). Seven existing and previous PDS sites were investigated and over 60 individuals were interviewed to determine strengths, weaknesses and issues that should be addressed. A belief in the development of a new form of university teacher education community is demonstrated by the decision to increase clinical faculty involvement in PDS and teacher education programs. Nevertheless, challenges have cropped up, which may impede capability to unite as a community. The most notable of these problems is the deep division within the faculty.
