Product Description
MIAMI JACKSON CAN’T wait for school to end. But who ever thought five days could be so long? His teacher is leaving for Ghana, his arch-enemy, Destinee Tate, is on his case, and now Miami’s keeping secrets from his best friend, String. Summer can’t come soon enough!

5 out of 5 stars Miami is so adorable!!!   March 4, 2007

I am a high school English teacher and I would love to have Miami as a student. As a parent I did shared reading of the Miami series with my then six-year old son(who is now seven) and he loves Miami and his best friend String. Miami's character is stubborn, hardheaded, honest and witty. He has a love/hate relationship with school, which seems typical for most boys. Miami faces typical third/fourth grader dilemmas but his humor is wonderful. I hope Ms.McKissack considers continuing the series. Miami has many more adventures his fans need to share with him, such as Christmas, banquets, birthdays, etc. Let's hope the author has time to continue his saga.
