Marguerite Henry books April 18, 2008 I bought these books as a gift for my 10 year old daughter. She was very pleased with them. She thoroughly enjoys the books written by Marguerite Henry.
Horse book set December 28, 2007 I read these books as a child and loved them. My daughter, who hates to read, has made it through 2 of them so far. She likes them and that's always a good thing.
Just as good the second time around!! July 3, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Our daughter read the Misty series when she was a child and recently we purchased them for our two Grand Daughters. Before sending them along to the Grand Daughters we again read the books; just as good the second time around!!

I am 45 years old and still have fond and vivid memories from when I read this book as a young girl. I read it over and over again and eventually collected the series. My dearest wish back then was to have a horse and I recall babysitting and finally saving enough money to buy a pony when I was 13.
Wonderful horse classics! August 26, 2004 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I read most of Margerite Henry's books as a child and loved them very much! I remember the amazement at realizing that Chincoteague and Assateague were real places! I have yet to get to Chincoteague for the pony roundup but I have visited many times over the years. I am buying these for the family library and hope my son grows to love them as I have. He is a little young now at age 3 but I plan to start reading them to him as he gets a little older!
