Packed with environment-friendly tips July 11, 2008 Though written for young adults, 50 Ways to Save the Earth is packed with environment-friendly tips that readers of all ages can appreciate and adapt into their daily lives. From "Take Back Unused Medicines" that recommends returning unneeded medicine to the pharmacist so that it may treat other sick people, to "Let's Save the Tropical Forests" which encourages purchasing only furniture labeled "FSC" (Forest Stewardship Council, which certifies that the wood involved has come from sustainably managed forests) to "Leave Shore Life Alone" which reminds one that and empty shells in tide pools are the homes of natural creatures and should be left alone, 50 Ways to Save the Earth fosters conservation, global thinking, and respect for nature as well as for fellow human beings. Enthusiastically recommended especially for public and school library collections.
