4 out of 5 stars The Amazing Panda Adventure   December 11, 2002
... I read a book called The Amazing Panda Adventure This book is placed durring the Spring time, in Great China. Some of the characters are, a twelve year old boy named Ryan, a girl named Ling, Michael, who is Ryan's father, a panda named Johny, and two poachers. Ryan's father and mother are divorced, he lives with his mom and his his dad works so hard, he forgets he even has a son. A son that will change their divided lives together again. Ryan is sent to China by his father, but neither know that there was an adventure waiting for them. When Ryan gets there, he gets in a place where he has to ask himself, "Why am I saving a baby Panda Bear? I hate bears! When I save it, what will I do with it? Do I have to meet poachers and get killed all for a baby cub? What will I do?" Read this fasinating, touching, story and you'll fall in love with little ones who need your help. When I read this beautiful book, I could not put it down. In my opinion, it was terrific, marvelous, amazing, and incredible:)

4 out of 5 stars exciting and dangerous panda journey   February 18, 2001
The Amazing Panda Adventure was very interesting. I thought the book would be about a panda on an adventure, but it turned out to be a story about two kids on an adventure to save a panda cub. Even though the book was not what I thought it was, the book was still very interesting and exciting. In China, Ryan went to visit his father and his father's helpers, Ling and Chu to find out what was wrong with a panda. Poachers took the panda's cud and shot Ryan's father in the leg. While Ryan's father and the mother panda were flown back to the reserve, Chu, Ling, and Ryan went looking for the cub. They retrieved the cub from the poachers and they headed back. When Ling and Ryan were crossing the bridge, they fell into the rushing white water with the cub. Even though they survived their fall, they had trouble contacting the reserve. They went on and amazing adventure in China risking everything to get the cub back to the Panda Reserve. I liked the book because it was about animals and an adventure. Iwould recommand this book to eight to thirteen year-old's. Once you start reading the book, it is difficult to set it down until you get to the end of the story.
