Product Description
The Amazon rain forest is one of the world's most captivating environments — particularly for children. In this colorful book, budding zoologists use the 51 included pieces to assemble eight exotic animals, from the silent jaguar to the leaping monkey to the rare and beautiful pink river dolphin. A detailed removable diorama serves as a backdrop for exciting adventures that young readers share with their new friends. In the process, they learn all about these fascinating animals and their habitat while crafting a museum-ready display.

Great animal fun March 8, 2008 We just bought this book last night at the school book fair (where we paid $15.95 for it) and have already finished the book. My son loves animals, so the book was a great choice. It's nicely written and illustrated in the style of a field journal. There are four pages on each of eight animals, each with a sturdy, attractive model easily built: jaguar, scarlet macaw, squirrel monkey, tapir, dward caiman, Amazon river dolphin, coati, and vampire bat. There is also a 3-D scene to tear out and set up, a nice backdrop for the eight animal models. So it's a great book and toy in one.
My seven-year-old son says the book is "very fun and teaches you a lot about rain forest animals. You also get to make models of the animals you read about, and you can take them apart and build them again."
