It covers some 50 years of Ansel's favorites with a loving Foreword by Wallace Stegner. It might be a so-called coffee-table book, but that table had better be big and with strong legs. As all books on Adams, this one is lovely, but as only this one in size, the scope makes his photography even more immediate. What a wonderful gift this would make, and one for which this reviewer would eat laundry. Because of size and heft, special shipping arrangements will need to be made. Enjoy!
