AMAZING! December 21, 2007 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
SIMPLY AMAZING! BUT, IT'S ANSEL ADAMS, SO WHAT MORE CAN I SAY! ANYTHING ON ANSEL ADAMS AND HIS PHOTOGRAPHY IS NOTHING BUT 100% WONDERFUL! WITH EACH PAGE, I WAS IN AWE AT THE BEAUTIFUL QUALITY OF THE PAGES OF ANSEL ADAMS PHOTOGRAPHY THROUGHOUT THE MANY, MANY YEARS! I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO EVERYBODY; BUT IF YOU ARE AN ANSEL ADAMS FAN, THIS BOOK IS A MUST TO ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION!
Too small to really impress December 12, 2007 9 out of 12 found this review helpful
While this is a great comprehensive collection of Ansel Adams work, I found the small page size really reduced the impact of the photographs. You're often looking at 5x7 size images, which is just too small for me, but it might not bother you. The resolution of the prints is ok, but if it had had stellar detail I might have decided to get it.
Excelent book December 9, 2007 1 out of 3 found this review helpful

enjoyable book December 9, 2007 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book has so many photos in it that it was just hard to believe. I thoroughly enjoyed the pictures.
A must for most photography enthusiasts November 29, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Ansel Adams is a legend. You may adore his style or you may regard it as overly technical with little aesthetic appeal. In any case, if you want to "see" what he has done, this is the book, period. There is also some well written text at the beginning of each chapter. More explanations and/or anectodes are provided at the end of the book. There are hints at his life and personality but this book has not been designed to satisfy a reader seeking such information. It is for displaying his photographs only. The order is chronological but not strictly so. The earliest examples are from his childhood! The design and printing quality is very good. The price is not outrageous. I liked the book very much and I still reach it to look at some of the photographs I admire...
