This is one of those cookbooks where the results match the pictures perfectly. The instructions are succinct and clear enough that anyone will be able to carry them out to great satisfaction. I enjoy Claudia Roden's writing very much. It is very obvious that she has perfected each recipe to the point that the results are very consistent time and time again.

This is a very good basic Mediterranean cookbook with lots of pictures that I like. It has a soft cover and it has the same content as the hard cover titled, "Foolproof Mediterranean Cookery." I did not know that when I ordered the book. I think the two different titles are misleading.

I checked this book out from my local library and after making several recipes, I purchased it. The recipes are fast and easy and so delicious. Every recipe turns out perfectly every time. Even the fish and meat dishes are amazing. Some favorites include: Couscous Salad, Aubergine (Eggplant) Caviar, Red Mullet in a Saffron and Ginger Tomato Sauce, Cod with Salsa Verde, Chicken with Tomatoes and Honey, Greek Stifatho...to name a few. Our family meal plan includes a meal from this cookbook weekly and we have been using it for over six months. I have looked at other books by this author and they are wonderful, but I find this one to be so easy and accessable.
