Great for Interested Ballerina's September 18, 2001 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
It's a great book for girls very interested in Ballet. My daughter loves it. I gives the correct french names of positions and the pictures are large enough to make colouring stand out. its a beautiful book, especially when it's almost full of colour!
Accurate introduction to classical ballet June 29, 2001 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
Children who are serious about studying ballet will enjoy this coloring book. It gives accurate information about some basic ballet techinique and seems to be based on the Vaganova syllabus - a truly scientific method for mastering classical ballet. Each coloring page introduces an element of correct technique and provides a simple coloring picture of a young dancer. I use this book in my summer ballet camp program.
Ballet Class Coloring Book July 20, 2000 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This is a great book, and my daughter enjoys it. As a coloring book, I think it would be more appropriate for 7 & 8 year olds than 9-12. Definitely worth buying.
Ballet Class Coloring Book March 21, 2000 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
As a dance educator of children, I am constantly looking for new and innovative ways to present technique in a clear and precise manner to my students. The Ballet Class Coloring Book by John Green has the best illustrations and ballet descriptions I've come across in a while. The explanations are clear and to the point making Ballet learning a lot more fun for children of many ages. I strongly recommend this book as a great educational tool for all dance teachers.
