5 out of 5 stars Top quality of new captain america   September 29, 2008
This is one of the best comic book collections I have ever found. The drawings are top quality and the story lines are great.

3 out of 5 stars I Didn't Really Enjoy This   September 17, 2008

I'm not a Captain America fan or fan of the author so I'm reviewing this book as a person totally new to this character and book. I can't really say I enjoy the story. It is so slow and the action wanes back and forth. When there is action, Captain America is a pretty boring character. All he has is his shield that he uses either to block bullets or as a boomerang to knock out villains. He can punch and kick as well, but that's about it. I guess you can say the same for Spider-Man, but then he can shoot webs, punch, kick, climb walls, has spider-sense and has a way more interesting personal life. The artwork, however, is suprisingly good. It is on glossy pages and the illustrations are very polished and somewhat video game looking.

5 out of 5 stars I can see why this got so much media attention. Great book   September 9, 2008
Captain America Omnibus by Ed Brubaker is a great read. In the past I had some problems with some of the way Amazon shipped some items but this came in a box and arrived just fine (it is a 2 inch thick book and heavy) and so thank you Amazon. The price was much discounted for a new book another plus. I could not put it down. Brubaker is now my favorite comic author. What can I say? Without trying to spoil the story this book features a major event in the history of Marvel Comics (I guess that's why the story received so much media attention). If you buy only one Marvel Omnibus book and you want a great story with great artwork then this book is it. Highly recommended. A++

5 out of 5 stars Captain America Omnibus   July 12, 2008
Since Captain America 25 many peeps went out and read the comic for the first time, (WOW caps dead) thats the reaction many had when it happened. I myself was curious to find out why, so i went out and got the Death of Captain America Vol 1 and Vol 2 to see what all the hype was about. After reading both GN's i was left wanting more i wanted to see what lead to it and what happens next.... Believe me when i say Ed Brubaker went all out on this story from the first issue to Now. Since receiving my copy i didn't put it down till the last page. 5 stars, 2 thumbs up, A+ or how ever you wanna rate it its good. So do your self a favor and buy this book. I promise you wont be disapointed. -d
