This book was everything that anyone interested in marine mammal training needs to know to get started. It lists all of the facilities in North America that contain marine mammals for display. Very Informative without being boring December 29, 1998 I've haven't finished reading this book. But from what I've gotten through so far, it's not only informative but interesting. If you didn't have a big interest in this field in the first place it makes you want to go out and learn more. I had the opportunity of meeting the author and I must say he's as interesting to talk to as the book is to read.
Good comprehensive summary of the field. December 22, 1998 This is a user-friendly, detailed look at the benefits and challenges of finding work in this field. The tone is a bit chatty, but the amount of information provided demonstrates the dedication of the people behind this book. Definately a must-have if you are seriously considering this career.
