What a beautiful book. If you live and dream "fairies" this is just the picture book for you.

I was a little disappointed in this book because I thought it would be more of a "how to build" them. There are some great photographs that can be used as inspiration, but if you are looking for a how to book, this isn't for you.
Wonderfully imaginary book March 20, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is for anyone who loves the idea of sharing a whimsical, totally escapist hobby with others of a like mind. Share with the kids, share with the grandparents...anyone can build a fairy house and that's what makes it unique.
Beautiful, imaginative book February 10, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This little book, mainly a picture book with some text, is a gem! My 4 year old carries it around with her to nursery school and Grandma's house. Her 3 year old twin cousins take it to bed and put it under their pillow. Neither the parents or the grandparents tire of rereading it with them over and over. The children are also building their own fairy houses in the yard with the help of older siblings. Everybody's involved. 5 stars!
So so January 11, 2007 11 out of 14 found this review helpful
I have to admit, I'm a bit over the pebbles and berries effort to make a faery home, if it's very primitive. Go on fairy houses dot com. If you like what you see then you'll enjoy this book. Fairy Island is a much nicer choice for a book in this type of genre, if you will. In fact one of my favorite books, is "In the Realm of the Never Fairies: The Secret World of Pixie Hollow" by Disney, unbelievably, it's very eye catching. Check out my book list for tons of ideas. Wendy Froud's books are EXCELLENT too!
