Great Book!! A Must See!! May 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book was a birthday present for my husband. He loved it!!! It shows how beautiful ALL women are. Leonard Nemoy has captured the beauty of the every day woman.
health before "beauty" April 11, 2008 3 out of 24 found this review helpful
Nemoy knows that skinny models promote an unhealthy, dangerous lifestyle. But heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes are just as unhealthy. It's nice that these women are confident and happy, but are they healthy? Before losing 20lbs (the old fashioned way)I had knee problems, acid reflux, high cholesterol, etc. Now at a size 10/12 I am much healthier. Hey Mr. Nemoy, there are plenty of averaged/healthy sized women that would make gorgeous models. We don't have to be a size 2 to be beautiful, but we also don't have to be a size 22 just to go against the status quo.

Amazing, wonderful, gorgeous. This book is so powerful- it can change how you view the "perfect body". Thank you Leonard Nimoy- what a gift to those of us with real woman's bodies!
Good for Women of All Sizes April 6, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Mr. Nimoy's treatment of his subjects was respectful and human. Something the rest of the country should try to emulate. I particulary liked the pictures he did that were inspired by Matisse, Raphael, and Herb Ritt. These show that art does not have to be thin to be beautiful.

I'm sad to report that I "felt" nothing from this book. I am in no way a prude...nudity doesnt shock or offend me at all , so I was looking forward to having a real 'artful', heartfelt experience in reading this book, and studying the photos. Nimoy's sensibilities have always appealed to me. HOWEVER...by the time I turned the last page, all I came away with was; " Okay. That was a big coffee table book full of glossy black and white photos of large ( mainly tattooed) women". It didn't strike me as profound. Maybe my expectations are too high in general..I don't know, but in the past I HAVE seen photos, sculptures, and drawings of full figured nudes that took my breath away. This one didn't. Sorry Leonard!
