"I've seen it!" March 21, 2006 Forgotten, when it comes right down to it, is a good story but ,like the title, it'll be one of those movies where its hard to remember why it is that you watched it or what it was all about. What I lkied about it was the fact that it did something different. It toyed with people who were forced to forget something for whatever reason. But, through strength and hope, one woman still remembers her old life that got taken away from her. But, the thing that didn't work for me is the fact that there were a lot of questions in this and only a fraction of them were answered. But, Hey, I dunno, Maybe that's closer to real life.
Rent it, don't buy it.
Not what I had expected but..... March 15, 2006 I hadn't read any of the reviews, I remember that a friend said to watch it as we both had liked the x-files in its day. I got the dvd in the mail today and watched this, I wasn't really expecting much but the movie draws you in pretty quick and I think Julianne Moore is a great actress, you must believe whats shes going through, right, I won't go into the story, its been written here already. I would highly recommend this movie when you're looking for something different by way of x-files, twilight zone, paranoia to another level.
Good movie aside from the ending February 28, 2006 This movie has an interesting concept and was crafted in such a way that the tension and expectation really built up. Added to that were several quite spine chilling scenes, and I have to admit what happened in the cabin totally caught me off guard and I loved it. Unfortunately, the ending really drags down my overall opinion of this movie--an interesting reason but it's just not executed in a convincing manner. I should say that this applies for both the theatrical and alternate ending. Some people say that the latter is much better, that it ties it all together better; to a certain degree it does, but I still found it kind of hoaky.
suspense at it's best February 24, 2006 Not quite as great as "the 6th sense" but pretty good. It'll keep your on your seats with several "goose bumb scenes"
Good acting from Julliane, not much of a movie though. February 22, 2006 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
This is one of the recent thrillers that put Julianne More on screen as the women in despire. The idea is fresh, but not much in these year post The Matrix. The acting is solid, especially from Jullianne who is on the screen most of the time. The love angle just doesn't work and could have been removed. Music is good and FX simple, uses traditional camera/light manipulation to stablish physicological ambient. A couple of good moments, but overall is just a fair movie.
