5 out of 5 stars Untamed   January 17, 2007
Saw the exhibition of these photos in Copenhagen and had to have the book. A must have for animal lovers. A genius at capturing the essence of animal life.

I LOVE THIS BOOK, THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE BEAUTIFUL! I BOUGHT THE BOOK FOR MY 8YR OLD NIECE, EACH TIME I VISIT, SHE WANTS ME TO LOOK AT IT WITH HER! YOU WILL NEVER BE BORED! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO OWN THIS BOOK. IT ALSO LAYS GOURGOUSLY ON YOUR COFFEE TABLE.

This was a gift to my dad who spent many years in South America as a young boy and has worked with zoos providing animals for care and protection. He was amazed at the book and never put it down for several hours after reading it. A great conversation piece for the coffee table.

5 out of 5 stars Fabulous!   January 31, 2006

There's no fluff or filler in this book. The images are breathtaking. Whether you're a photographer (like me) or an animal lover (like me, too) this book will capture your attention over and over. There are straight documentary shots as well as those with the artistic touch. Just beautiful.

I especially like the cheetah and her cub and the elephant and her calf in the Africa section. Then there is the Penguin population explosion on the beach in Antarctica. And, then... There aren't any page numbers to interrupt the pictures so I can't tell you which pages, but you'll know them when you see them. Also, the image of facing zebras outside the 4 page spread was quite a catch.

Speaking of 4 page spreads, what a treat to open up a nearly 4 foot wide wildebeest/zebra migration (among many others)! WOW!

In short, I love this book!
