Magnificent and Breathtaking April 28, 2005

I was amazed at the beauty and depth of these photos. I was expecting a nice coffee table book but I had my breath taken away by these images. You feel as if you could reach out and touch these animals. The book is worth twice the price that Amazon charges.

As a professional commercial photographer with many friends working at NoGeo I have been exposed to countless images of wildlife. I found this book to be a fantastic compilation of imagery that individuals will fall in love with. As for the negative review written below I question his motivation. Buy the book, go thru it with your kids and let's all find the next Jane Goodall.

This book is a revelation. It comprises a collection of the best, most deeply original wildlife photography either my wife or I have seen. Truly outstanding.

I first read about Untamed in an airline in-flight magazine, then saw an article about it in a photography magazine. After reading the articles, it was such a surprise and pleasure when the book arrived. Primarily a beautiful photography book, it is huge, filled with awesome images. Bloom has captured something of the essence of life.
More importantly, it is a moving and powerful statement for the protection of the environment. Whether you look at the pictures of Antarctica, the endangered tigers in India or the polar bears in Canada, you are intuitively aware of the danger of global warming and the importance of preserving the world's natural environments.
His artistic skill and sensitivity have created a volume I will always treasure.

Untamed is absolutely overwhelming - I'm so deeply impressed, I can barely
find words to describe how I feel about it. Fantastic images through all
the chapters - every picture makes me realise what a wonderful world we live
in. I am also impressed by the words, which are so true, and are written
with such tremendous sensitivity.
This is undoubtedly a world class book.
