This is a must have book for anyone who has pets. Some of his experiences are quite comical and others are heart touching. Very well written. You will want to share it with your friends. I highly recommend!

Love Animals? Read "No Dogs in Heaven?" January 15, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This book was great light reading. Working for 12 vets, I can relate to his adventures somewhat and they ran the gamut of emotions. It was well written and I'd recommend it to anyone who loves animals and loves reading about them. No Dogs in Heaven? How silly can anyone be to think they are not there!
A Real "Page Turner" January 5, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
In this very well-written and entertaining book of anecdotes, Dr. Sharp has not only provided an intimate glimpse at the details of life as a veterinarian but he has captured the heart and soul of life in a small American town. This is the perfect book for would-be vets, animal lovers, young adults, old adults, nephews, aunts, wives, brothers-in-law, etc., etc. Anyone just interested in a darn good story will enjoy No Dogs in Heaven? Scenes from the Life of a Country Veterinarian by Dr. Robert T. Sharp.
I wish I could share everyone's enthusiasm..... January 4, 2006 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Having dearly loved James Herriot's veterinary series many years ago, I was very enthusiastic about discovering Robert Sharp's book. Although it was a decent read, I didn't find that it to be anywhere near as heart-warming or charming as the Herriot series. Of course I enjoyed some of the stories because I am a huge animal lover, but it is not something I would recommend to my friends as a "must read".
