5 out of 5 stars FOR AN HONEST OPINION, READ THIS   December 23, 1998
Fantastic, amazing, brilliant, clever and entertaining. This video had me in stitches throughout. After all seeing many trashy films this was a refreshing change. Sometimes I feel like I want to relive one of my own days over and over again and I think of this movie and wish. Great acting, great script and generally errr....Great. What else is there to say CLASSIC!

5 out of 5 stars Spectacular comedy!   December 20, 1998
I know we all wish we could do certain things over and over until we got it right! It was cool to watch the possibility unfold!

5 out of 5 stars Exceptional with meaning at many levels.   December 3, 1998

This move was a pleasant surprise. Being a Murray fan it was a must. On the surface the move is entertaining as it moves through the many stages of his dealing with being trapped in what was initially an insignificant day with insignificant people. On other levels, the movie deals with the importance of man to himself, those around him (even thoughs he only briefly interacts with), and to the brief time we all have on this earth.

For those who enjoy light entertainment it is enjoyable, for those who enjoy metaphysical messages it is a must.

5 out of 5 stars Keep trying until you get it right   December 3, 1998

What a great movie! There have been many days when I wished I could get a "do over" and try again to say or do the right thing. Bill Murray is at his best in this comedy that really makes you think about how life works.

4 out of 5 stars Crawl Out of Your Hole and See Groundhog Day!   November 29, 1998

Just like other reviewers, I feel that one could watch Groundhog Dog again and again... How ironic, but maybe that's the point- to watch it until you cannot laugh anymore. Bill Murray was perfectly cast for the role of a reporter covering Groundhog Day. He is obnoxious, but has the opportunity to keep trying until he gets to get it right. Murray exceeds his Meatballs performance. Andie MacDowell and Chris Elliot are really cute too in their respective roles.Definitely make sure you see this movie, on G-hog day or any other time you need a good laugh- you might learn a little bit more about yourself too... And, you might never think about "I Got You, Babe" in the same way again- and maybe that's not such a bad thing.
