5 out of 5 stars Must Read for Anyone in Leadership!   December 18, 2007
This is simply one of the best books written about a subject that can be quite messy and obscure to identify. The issue of "ego" is seldom talked or written about. But, it is the dividing line when it comes to a "Great" organization and a mediocre one.

Simply an outstanding book! A Must Read for Anyone in Leadership.

5 out of 5 stars Be Careful!   October 8, 2007
A word of caution: if you don't want your relationships with those who live and work around you to change for the better, stay away from this book! Marcum and Smith have shared some clear-headed thinking about how we tend to interact with others in a way that will be understandable to even the most analytical among us. Nurturing traits of veracity, humility and curiosity will likely lead us to more productive, enjoyable lives, but will certainly enhance the lives of those around us!

5 out of 5 stars A must read!   September 17, 2007
This is the kind of book that can have a profound impact on your personal and professional life if you really take the concepts to heart and are open to self-improvement. I've seen great changes in myself and others who have really focused and become aware of the "early warning signs" of an unbalanced ego.

Marcum and Smith take the concept of ego and show how it can have impact in everyday personal and business situations. I found the book to-the-point, entertaining, memorable, and one that I'm constantly quoting from. While it's a quick read, the impact of it will last a lifetime!

5 out of 5 stars Relevance, Clarity. Resounding Truth for BizTODAY.   September 15, 2007
This is an amazing book. Reads like an illuminating injection of Business Antioxidant honesty! Every page makes the reader move faster and faster--with increased energy to see if the next chapter maintains the excellence and handling of this vitally important business topic. And...IT DOES! This should be a required read for every leader, director, manager, or supervisor that wishes to excel phenomenal team business results within their realm of leadership motivation. Inspiring reality, superb examples, TRUTH-TELLING on a topic that has been swept under the business rug for far, far too long--by the culprits who should benefit from this book the most. Grab it now, read it now, and begin to transform your team to levels of brilliant innovation heretofore not experienced. Wow...Done, Done, and DONE--are the days when EGO is in the way of true leadership, but can be utilized to the finest levels of business (or just plain life for that matter) reinvention, rejuvenation, and relevance.

5 out of 5 stars I highly recommend this book   September 12, 2007
Life is made up of moments, and how we handle each of those moments, especially when we are under stress, is what becomes the definition of who we are in the minds of others. This book spoke directly to the challenges and opportunities I struggle with, especially during those stressful moments when the positive characteristics of ego turn into their negative manifestations. With every turn of the page, Egonomics provides clear, personal, tanglible examples and suggestions about how to minimize the negative effects of ego and recognize when those negative traits are surfacing. I cannot recommend this book enough.
