5 out of 5 stars This is a great book with adventure in the wild   July 26, 1996
This book is about a boy who runs away from his home in New York. His mom and dad don't take him seriously so theylet him go. He ends up in the Hemlock forest. He fishes to eat and makes fires with flint and stone. He makes traps to catch animals and he lives in a tree with a bed made from sticks, pineneedles and leaves. He has a fireplace in the tree to keep warm during the winter. The book is about the long adventure he has during the time he runs away and lives off the land. This book was very exciting!!!! I am a 10 year old boy and I loved this book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
