This is the best set of books ever!I horseback ride and LOVE horses! I never new there was books on horses that were stories not imformational (about the breeds ect.) I got all 3 books in this serious and are reading other books by her too! If these are the only books you get about horses they are worth it! There fantastic and a real page turner! There deffinetly worth buying!
Misty of Chincoteague February 18, 2000 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
Misty is a timeless classic and a must read for all, young and old. Read all of Marguerite's books about the ponies...I now live on Chincoteague Island and love to see the ponies and read the book every year during the Pony Swim to my young children. It is very exciting to really see the ponies swim. Thank you Marguerite for bringing this wonderful story to all of us.

I would say that it was absoloutly wonderful,i just couldn't pry my eyes off of this collecion of awsome books!!And even though i'm 13,i still couldn't stop reading it.I would highly recomend this book to any of my friends. And what i like so much about this book is that you actually feel like you are there. The way she(Marguerite Henry) writes is just.....well..... beautiful.
What a set!!!! January 4, 1999 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
These books were fantastic! I loved Misty, Stormy, Sea Star, and Wings. The best part is that this place really exists. The storm that killed so many ponies (Stormy Misty's Foal) is so sad. I also like Paul and his sister. -a horse lover
So good I read it twice!! February 20, 1998 Marguerite Henry's, Misty of Chincoeague was one of he greatest books I've ever read. In fact, it was so good that I read it twice! What I thought was great, wasnt Paul Beebe riding a bucking bronc, or the capture of the Phantom, but how the Grandma, Grandpa, Paul, Maureen (and Misty too), stuck together as a family. Margeurite Henry wrote the book with so much detail that when I read it, I felt that I was on the little island of Chincoteague during Pony Penning time.I loved this book so much that I would recommend to anyone.
