5 out of 5 stars A Horse Called Misty   August 1, 1997

Assateague Island, off the coast of Virginia is a special place. It was here that manyyears ago, horses off of a shipwreck were able to swim to the Island and survive.Annually, there is a well known event there in Assateague with a roundup of the horses. In the story, Paul and his sister discover the modern day horses descended from those original survivors, and they want the beautiful wild mare that they have seen for their own. But, the silvery-gray colt Misty comes into their life! This is a superb story.
