This book seems to be a staple of touristy shops on Maui. Nevertheless, it's a great book for the preschool/kindergarten crowd.
I got this book for my four year old daughter for our trip to Hawaii. The illustrations are great, and the text is appropriate for her age -- she loved learning about the reef creatures. It's written as a series of letters from two siblings visiting Hawaii to their grandmother. Most pages have something extra on them such as a miniature book glued to the page, which makes the book seem more interactive.
Recommended.
