Cute book, but the one that I receive makes no sound. Could be a blessing in disguise, but either way, it's poor quality.

This book is super - my daughter (18 mos) absolutely loves this book. The sounds are great, the artwork is adorable, the pop-ups are so colorful and intricate. Sure, its not super study, but then again I don't let her play with this without an adult. She has books that are chunky for just her, and then we have books and toys that are special for grownups to help with. If you keep that in mind, you definitely will not regret this purchase. I just went back online to purchase the whole series - if the rest are anything like this one I wll be very pleased.
1-3 year old love it March 26, 2008
I have a one-year-old and three-year-old that get lots of amusement out of this book. Don't leave this book lying around for the kids to get their hands on unless you want the pop-up parts of it destroyed.
I wish there could have been a few more pages but that's for my own sake of variety...the kids don't seem to mind replaying the same sounds over and over again ad nauseum.

My 2-yr old son LOVES these books. The artwork and presentation are great, and the sounds are great as well. My only criticism would be is that you have to be careful to avoid tearing the parts that "pop" out, but that is typical with any pop-up book.
Definitely recommend for small children, though.

This is my 2 year old grandson's favorite book. He has read it so often, that he has worn in out and we had to buy another!
