The Fascinating World of Beetles January 12, 2007
ISBN 0812094239 - If your child finds beetles fascinating, this book is most definitely for him or her! Otherwise, this isn't really a casual read - it's very educational and would be a superb resource for a science report. The illustrations, by Marcel Socias Studios are, even for those who don't particularly LIKE beetles, surprisingly beautiful. They are colorful, detailed and well explained.
Covering every aspect of the lives of beetles, and the various kinds of beetles, The Fascinating World of Beetles is, to my amazement, actually pretty fascinating. Where they live, how they live and what they eat, among other things, will have your favorite little bug collector enthralled. And, if you're using this for a report, it won't bore you. Not overly long, it packs a lot of information in 30 pages and has a Glossary in the back to quick reference.
