Tipton that provides a single volume comprehensive checklist of all known snakes found in North American, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. This seminal work also serves as a lexicon listing all the common names (in several languages) of these snakes. The information covers the subspecies level, as well as citations and distribution information. The lexicon (on an easy-to-use, searchable, compact disk) includes common names in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Guarani, and other languages of the Americas, along with references. An extensive bibliography is included.
