I've read a lot of books on marine aquariums and this is the best yet. Something for aquarium keepers of all skill levels.

A MUST HAVE for Saltwater Hobbyist! January 12, 2007
Fenner always nails it when he writes about aqautic life.
This book literally is called "The Bible for Saltwater" when you look at saltwater websites.
As a person who has been in saltwater for a couple of years now, I can honestly say had I read this book when I first ventured into the hobby I would have saved myself and my wallet from some very foolish mistakes.
Fenner's own website is filled with additional information on just about anything you can imagine. Using this book in conjuction with his website (just do a search under his name) and you'll have just about every resource you need other than a local fish store from where you can tap into additional knowledge and great prices on saltwater supplies.
This book is an absolute MUST if you are thinking about getting into saltwater. It is also a good read for those that have experience in saltwater as the book is packed with knowledge that you may need a refresher course or reminder of to be a true conscientious hobbyist.

Good reference book with lots of pictures and easy to look info up. Not too scientific so that the lay person can read and follow. Info on many fish that are found in most pet stores.
Very deep and insightful January 5, 2007
Author provides a lot of information. Shows big concerns for the survival of these living beings. The author goes into technical details on the equipment needed to get into this hobby. He also profiles numerous sea life. Found it very useful and I'm gonna start my project plan list based on the information provided in this book. Highly recommend this book for beginners looking to get into this hobby.
