Great Box Turtle Care Guide October 3, 2008 This guide covers just about all the issues and questions you might have about raising box turtles and keeping them healthy, including diet. There are lots of tips on how to treat them for common diseases or other health issues. Nothing in the treatment or care requires special knowledge or medications. I have been able to evaluate my turtle and feel confident she is in good heatlh and ready for hibernation and will be ready for another season of entertainment and learning for my grandchildren.
A Great Manual For First-Time Owners Or Experienced Owners July 17, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this book and I've read it many times at the library. It has nice pictures and reads clear. The directions are very easy to follow. I think if you are looking for a book on box turtles, look NO further!

Great Book for New Turtle Owners April 14, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this book because my new box turtle, who seemed very lively in the pet store just would not eat. I'd done a great deal of research on what they like to eat on the internet, but thought perhaps he was sick. This book was very detailed, and wonderful at addressing my concerns with all the aspects of why he may not have been eating. While I don't agree with all the things the book says (Like turtles should be seen and not interacted with) Its a very good book for diagnosis of problems.
a little preachy July 30, 2003 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book while informative was a little disappointing in other ways, such as its tone etc. Still a solid reference, and a good way to learn about how to take care of your pet.
