5 out of 5 stars A wonderful experience   April 11, 2005

Thanks to Judy Irving for making such intelligent documentaries. The Wild Parrotts of San Francisco is not only a wonderful movie with splendid photography, it is also moving and funny . You discover a wonderful segment of the population of Telegraph Hill that cares deeply about the parrots and the man who takes care of them. Danielle

This movie is wonderful, among the best documentaries I have ever seen. Seeing the parrots as individual personalities was a new, and overwhelming, experience. Living near, but not in San Francisco, I traveled to Telegraph Hill to observe them personally. I felt like I was seeing old friends whom I had only met the previous day.

This is a great movie--not only for the interesting and beautiful parrots but also for the story of the man who grows to love and care for them--so touching and funny in many ways. I rarely buy DVD's--but this will be one of them.
